Introduction

We played an important role in providing M&E services to a new modular building for the transmission of electrical power on the east coast of Scotland.

The new building was part of a major reorganisation of electrical power distribution on the east coast of Scotland.

Challenge

The challenge was to provide the mechanical and electrical services to the building whilst also working on a live substation site. Offsite installation works were carried out where possible. Site operative safety was as always key on this project

Solution

Charleson Building Services provided mechanical and electrical design and installation services to the new building which houses an array of electrical equipment.

The installation included ventilation, heating and cooling, public health systems, power, lighting, security, data and building management systems to meet the strict requirements of the client’s specification.

Project features included designing and providing conditioned environmental systems to control the specific requirements of the apparatus housed within the building envelope.

Result

A fully commissioned mechanical and electrical solution was delivered to meet the expectations of the client / contractor delivery teams.
